Number of years working in the hair industry?

7-8 years including training

Background / how you got into this industry / travel experiences / something interesting about yourself...

I left my home country N. Ireland to come to London to further my career in hairdressing. I learned a lot in my old salon through my involvement with competitive photo shoots and seminar work. I also won the All Ireland Trend Vision award; which was a great achievement

What motivates / inspires you in this industry?

I love meeting new people and hearing about their life story. I enjoy being creative, fashion inspires me to be creative and colour from all around me inspires me too

What do you enjoy about your job?

I really love the edgy, alternative side of hairdressing such as the looks you can be required to create for couture photo shoots or magazine work. Additionally, I enjoy experimenting with colour and cut techniques and learning new ways to do the job I love

Would have to be Surf Spray to keep my curls in lock when relaxing on the beach

Favourite item of clothing?

My black rubber leggings, as they go with everything and are a bit saucy... Ooh Dr. Geller!
